About the Role
As the Logistics Manager, your role is pivotal in planning, coordinating, and managing the logistics of construction projects. Your responsibilities include ensuring materials and resources are available when and where they are needed, and optimizing the logistics process for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate the movement of materials, equipment, and resources for construction projects.
Manage supplier relationships, negotiate logistics service contracts, and oversee their execution.
Monitor inventory levels and ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies as required.
Optimize logistics processes for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
Address logistics issues or delays that may impact project schedules.
Collaborate with project teams to align logistics with project requirements.
Maintain accurate records and reports of all logistics activities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Requirements
Diploma or degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management.
Proficiency in logistical knowledge with connections to get the material where it is needed in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
